Christopher Nolan RISES.

<    1. Batman kicks some SERIOUS butt - I am in love with his bike
<    2. Why Anne Hathway – she should restrict herself to the cute Princess Diary types roles (she's raw, but there's something missing)
     a.    You have this jaw-dropping expression towards ‘The End’. Christopher Nolan leaves your yearninggggggggggggggg for more with each passing frame – ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ earns its brownie points with the immaculate dialogues, its delivery and the background score – it simply eats you up!!  A client of mine orchestrates this thought about how its sound that makes you enjoy just about everything. Yes it’s that voice, that sound that makes you go woooooooohhooo – kill it mannnn!
     b. It’s funny how Gotham reminds me of Bombay – Taj on 26/11 (the bank attack) and the countless strikes that my city has endured, and bounced back from
      c.  Mostly important: Heath Ledger – you will remain my best bad daddy. Bane is not 5% as malicious (he’s definitely good; unfortunately up to some matchless competition)
      d.  I love the large frames, the larger than life sets they have created – superlative aerial shot sequences, the dungeons, shades of grey and muck, the music – stellar acts by Christian, Anne, Tom Hardy, John Blake – the film clicks in all parts. We want more!! :-(

Dark Shadows – where?

While Johnny Depp is a natural, his excellent comic timing needs to be used in the right places, and movies! A rather obnoxious profile of a vampire’s life, Dark Shadows is a vain attempt by Depp (unfortunately! he’s quite a relish on screen otherwise) to essay a blood + libido thirsty vampire.

The canvas leaves you spell-bound though, its old England – has to be WOW!

Dark Shadows scores with its background – eerie, scary, flirtatious – the right concoction, however – one would not want to watch a vampire and a witch make out now, while the guitars go tanaaooooo (rather loud) – that’s spooky :/ The plot dips in chunks, makes you wonder….now what are all these people gunning for? The objective is quite unclear I would say… save thy nets l his roots l vengeance… so we witness shades of his characters, and it’s just tooooo funny to watch a vampire get chained by his (worst) half, while he erupts out of bonds which he’s locked in for yearrssssss…  hindi pikcharrrrr this?!

And then you have the divas Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green – these ladies set the screen ablaze with their stellar act!! Jai ho, mahilao ki :p

Net-net, masala pikchar hai yeh, grab that super-expensive L L tub of caramel popcorn and runnnn to your closest multiplex (no you should not download this from DC++, PS: Mahavir Apts)

Ganpati bappa morya...aamhi baghayla aalo poryaa!?

Now that's a headline that'll make heads turn!

this is how hooligans shower love on Lalbaugcha Raja. As you wade through an ocean full of devotees (attacking one another) to catch a glimpse of the elephant headed cute friend of Bombay city, Mr. Ganpati, you will witness all sorts of animal instincts that defines BOMBAY.

a. ladies selling water bottles at 3am
b. marketeers hogging the limelight (oh yes they don't miss a single opportunity at branding)
c. police 'enjoying' their late night duty
d. devotees (some 10,000 odd people and counting) patiently walking all the way from Parel-Byculla and back to Kala Chowki for an hour, 2, 24!! Just to catch a glimpse of the wish granting deity - Bombay is wow! the ethos is so wow!

Apart from that 5 second dekko of the lovely Murti (so electrifying, calming & alive!!), it is the walk towards darshana that makes it happenin eh!
The chapreeeeeessssstt (mind your language) of men go hoooo hoooo hooo! ganpateeeeeee ganpateeeee clap, clap, clap (it's like checking out a hot chick @ Wankhede and the crowd goes itummmmm itummmmm). They go.. "center fresh chingammmm hai, ganpati bappa singham hai!" Alas! Ganesha, you too are being dragged into the movie marketing business :)

These are few of those vibgyor like traits of apna Bambai we are part of - the city that never sleeps - the God that always welcomes each and every religion with open arms! (this is one festival that pretty much all religions participate in). Lokmanya Tilak's ideology to get all religions, people, communities together is rightfully served I say. The politicians then had a vision (an honest one), unlike today's media strategists

Its an enriching experiencing to be part of the madness, the rowdy sheetttt, to say, hey! I am from Bombay..

Dance : My foremost passion

I cannot think of a more joyous occasion than to talk about ‘dance’ –which has been a passion with me, since the day I probably first learned to walk.

Let me go back in time and recollect, how I took to this wonderful passion. I have vivid memories of gyrating to any music that was played around in my vicinity.

The interconnect between the music and the tapping of my feet was so spontaneous, that it became a habit with me to spin at the slightest possible sound that I could hear. The engrossment was such that I continued to gyrate even long after the music stopped playing. The sense of irritation caused by my foot tapping to my family and friends was palpable.

I look back and wonder, how I continued to persist with my passion for dance, inspite of the incessant discouragement and taunts that have come my way.I was at a loss to know, why I was being discouraged instead of being motivated to pursue such a solemn form of art!

On my part,I continued to devote quality time to my passion ensuring that my other priorities like studies and domestic commitments were not affected.

It was perhaps the stubbornness in my nature, that propelled me to pursue this passion of mine diligently. With time I became mature enough to understand what dancing was all about.I strived to understand the various forms of dance and the related subtleties associated with each form of dance.

As time went by, I found myself dancing naturally in complete sync to any music that I could hear. The harmony between my dance and the beats of music at last found notice and recognition ,when my college friends and people from my neighborhoods bestowed on me the responsibility of choreographing any dance sequence that was to form a part of the various cultural programmes that were organized either in my college or my society.

Today, I feel proud and privileged when I find myself being acknowledged as a able and competent dancer and recognized by even total strangers solely on the skill of my dancing prowess.Surely, dancing has given me my 15 seconds of fame!!
